Frank is still in Colorado and is over 10,000 feet up in the mountains in Leadville. This old Silver mining town was called Leadville to put some people off coming here!!

Our sources report that Frank is making such good progress that he has decided to strike North and go for a more scenic route closer to the original ADT (American Discovery Trail) which he had earlier decided made the trip too long. The reasons for this deliberate slowing up will become apparent later on in Utah.

He has made good progress and is in very good spirits during his few moments on air from what he called the top of the world. He seemed a little disappointed that the announcer cut him short because his show was winding up. They said this was due to technical difficulties which they didn't mention during the 45 minutes it took between his usual slot and putting him on the air. Perhaps if he had cut the last record from his show or spent less time gassing to the next DJ about watching paint dry (yes!) he would have had more time.
