Frank has reached Cimarron, Kansas

This is about half way between Dodge city and Garden City. He has not covered too many miles since his report last Friday as this is an interim report. At noon Tuesday he has gave an address to the Cimarron Rotary Club and was a big hit.. An e-mail received from Grant Butcher the president of the Rotary Club and another from Sarah Doubek from a local firm both confirm that his audience was mesmerized and enthralled by his stories of his travels so far. A quote from Grant runs as follows:- He (Frank) spoke at the Cimarron Rotary Club and was a big hit. You could have heard a pin drop as he spoke, they were so interested in his stories. Frank stayed the night at the Cimarron Crossing Bed and Breakfast as a guest of the Rotarian and his wife that own it.We also have news on the mysterious overnight jump from Cottonwood Falls, KS to Norwich, KS gained from our sources. It seems Frank rang ahead to his hosts for this part of the trip to find that they were not going to be around in the 10 days he estimated for arrival their. He was therefore picked up and taken by car this part of the trip neatly by-passing Wichital. To save backtracking he picked up his route from Norwich, KS as normal making Ford a few days later. However, we still are curious why he struck North after crossing into Kansas level with Wichita instead of heading West?
